Glimera Fleet — how-to for the Store login and the Area manager

Two logins the route manager creates for the people around a store. The other guide: Route manager (master). A G-Stick is the Glimera device that plugs into a machine's SAS port (called a board in older notes).

A. The store login (the shop that hosts the machines)

You see the locations your route manager gave you — one owner with several shops has one login — read-only, and only their money and machines: Revenue, Revenue by Date, 0 Revenue, Exceptions, My locations (each location with its machines), Help and Change password (Complex: Revenue, My locations, Reports). You land on Revenue. The only thing you can change is your own password. Setup codes and WiFi passwords are hidden from you.

What the pages tell you

Status words on a machine row

StatusMeaningWhat you can do
online · idle / in playreading the cabinetnothing
offline N minthe G-Stick has not reportedcheck the WiFi router has power and internet; the G-Stick reconnects by itself within two minutes. Still offline after that → call your route manager
online · no meters yetthe G-Stick reports but the cabinet has not answeredtell your route manager: the machine's model or SAS setting needs a look
wrong routerthe G-Stick is on a WiFi that is not its kit's or the store'stell your route manager (the G-Stick needs to be set up on the kit's WiFi again)
no G-Stick yet / not pairedthe machine waits for its G-Stickyour route manager handles it
a Subscription due / past due banner, or a Subscription past due page instead of the portalthe route manager's Glimera subscription is due or unpaidtell your route manager — the machines keep working and reporting; the portal comes back when it is settled

Rules of thumb: never unplug a G-Stick or the router "to fix it" during play; the G-Stick keeps reading and queues its reports while the internet is down and catches up when it returns. A machine's money is never lost by a G-Stick going offline — the meters are cumulative and the next report catches up.

Signing in

Sign in with your user name and your password (a login from before user names signs in with its email, as before). If you have no email on your login yet, the portal asks for it once, right after you sign in: type it and press Save and go on — it is where a password-reset link goes. Forgot the password? Forgot password? on the sign-in screen, type your user name, and the reset link goes to your email.

Shops under two route managers? One login is enough: the second route manager adds you by your user name or email. The sidebar then shows Working for — pick the route manager whose shops you want to see.

Signing in with a six-digit code

Your login may ask for a six-digit code after the password — it does when your route manager switched it on, or when you turned it on yourself under Change password → Two-factor sign-in (a good idea: this login can see money). The code comes from an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, free). The first time, the portal shows a QR code: install the app, tap +, scan, type the six digits. The code changes every 30 seconds; if one is refused, wait for the next. Lost the phone? Your route manager presses Reset two-factor on your login and the next sign-in shows the QR code again.

B. The area manager (runs some of the operator's stores)

You see the stores the route manager ticked for you and land on Revenue; on those stores you do most of what the route manager does:

You canYou cannot
name machines, set the model preset, SAS address and host port, asset numbercreate or edit stores, change the revenue share, WiFi or router binding
Read now, Kill / Live on your stores' machinesput a G-Stick on a machine or take it off — Assign G-Stick, Move G-Stick here, Remove G-Stick, Swap G-Sticks, Replace G-Stick, Replace machine, Assign machine, Remove a machine from the store: only the route manager moves G-Sticks between machines
Mark collected, enter the amount collected, correct a pickupset G-Sticks up (Glimera does that and sends them ready), move a G-Stick to another store, disable a G-Stick, change denomination or report interval
acknowledge alerts (the store page's Activity & alerts, Complex), add notesdelete a store or a kit
Store logins of your stores (the store page → Store logins): create one (user name + password), add a store owner who already has a login, reset a password or two-factor, take one off your storemake area managers or route managers, disable a login, touch a login's other stores

Everything in the route manager's guide §4 (naming and setting up machines), §5 (day to day), §6 (collections) and §9 (quick fixes) applies to you on your stores. Moving G-Sticks is the route manager's alone: which G-Stick sits on which machine — putting one on, taking one off, swapping, replacing, a machine from inventory onto a G-Stick — is not on your pages. A G-Stick plugged into a machine, moved by hand or broken: tell your route manager, who puts it on the right machine in the portal.

Where to look first when a store calls

  1. offline → the router (power, internet). G-Sticks rejoin on their own.
  2. online · no meters yet → Edit the machine: model preset (a Banilla needs it), host port, address; then the cable and bridges as on the wiring card.
  3. not paired → a kit G-Stick pairs again by itself; if it stays like this, call Glimera.
  4. wrong router → the G-Stick is on the wrong WiFi; the row names it. Put the store's router back on its WiFi name (Glimera has the password); otherwise call Glimera.
  5. no G-Stick yet → the machine waits for a G-Stick: your route manager puts the G-Stick that is plugged into it on it.
  6. Read now → shows whether the G-Stick is offline or the machine is not answering on SAS.
